Brian was born just outside of Boston, MA and come from a large family with 5, beautiful, younger sisters. He attended Dartmouth College, in Hanover, NH; where he studied Political Science, Psychology and Theater Arts. Brian also played Football and Lacrosse there. Following graduation (yes, Brian has a degree!), he was fortunate enough to be signed by both an NFL (New England Patriots) and NLL (Boston Blazers) team. By the way...the NLL is the professional lacrosse league. If you're not from the northeast, you've probably never heard of lacrosse; but lacrosse is pretty big there. An injury ended his professional athletic career shorter than he would have liked and his life took an odd turn-- well...actually two odd turns! First, Brian began modeling and secondly, Brian co-founded a professional dance company.

The dance company, Phunk Phenomenon Urban Dance Theater, still exists today. These days, his co-founder, Reia Briggs, is the real heart and soul of Phunk Phenomenon. She is a certified teacher, dance instructor and humanitarian; and also Phunk's director. The mission of Phunk Phenomenon is to be a multicultural and multiethnic conduit with which urban male and female "products" ages 18-28 can impart their life lessons and knowledge to their younger urban counterparts ages 12-18. The tool Phunk Phenomenon uses to communicate is the performing arts-- more specifically, dance. The ultimate goal is to entertain while educating; for which we have coined the term, “edutainment.”

As for the modeling and acting, Brian got his introduction to the business by attending a fashion show casting with a friend. It so happened that this is where Brian met an agent. Shortly after the show, Brian had the good fortune to be signed by an agency in his home town and began the process of learning the ropes and developing his confidence. After about 1 1/2 years in the modeling business, Brian had a pretty decent portfolio, head shots and a short resume.

If you are an actor, then you probably wonder about the union thing? The answer is that Brian was lucky enough to have gotten his SAG card on the very first commercial job he did-- which was actually the first job Brian booked, period! What was it? It was a principle role in a national commercial for TJMaxx.

Actually, during that time period, Brian did several things to pay the bills, including becoming a licensed stock broker, helping to further developing Phunk Phenomenon, TV commercials, modeling and acting.

The next significant step occurred when Brian was presented with the opportunity to work in Los Angeles, CA in 1999...and took it. That pretty much brings us to today. Since 1999 Brian has been focusing on studying the craft and business of acting; and has dedicated himself to trying to become the best actor he can be. His goal is to seek out roles in which he feels a strong personal connection to and sees a social significance. Ideally, his work will inspire discussion among it's (the projects) viewing audience. Brian's promise to himself-- whether the platform be film, TV or theater, is to attempt to seek out material that is challenging: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

In the world of modeling, Brian am always on the look out for jobs that will allow him to express himself creatively and artistically. Brian also enjoys traveling to beautiful and exotic locations and is hopeful for those few opportunities in which modeling will allow him the chance to effect social consciousness regarding some meaningful issue.

As we mentioned before, Phunk Phenomenon Urban Dance Theater is alive and well. It is based out of Boston, MA. and current projects range from the production of a feature stage show, to music videos and television commercials. The ensemble has evolved to a full service dance staffing and casting organization but remains rooted in the mission to try and make a difference in the world. To contact Phunk Phenomenon, direct email to Reia Briggs (Address is linked).

In closing, We'd like to say that Brian hopes you enjoy your visit to his his site and wishes you all the best in your future endeavors.
