March 2003 -- Brian White Media Bio

Brian White graduated from Dartmouth College with a duel degree in Political
Science and Psychology,  has earned his certifications as a Stock Broker
(Series 7, 63 and 65) and  played  in both the National Football League (NFL)
and National Lacrosse League (NLL). 

At just 25 years of age, White has proven himself the consummate
entrepreneur.  He began his professional acting and producing career just  3
years ago.  Upon moving to Los Angeles, Brian was cast in the syndicated
Movie of the Week, SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT.  This provided him the foothold
and inspiration he needed to make LA his home.  Other notable television
appearances since include the series regular role of Franklin “Sweet Money”
Sanderson in the ABC Pilot / MOW NANCY DREW (2002),  recurring roles in the
W.B. MOW / pilot, THE LONE RANGER (2002), on UPN’s MOESHA and MTV’s  soap,
SPYDER GAMES and guest spots on ABC’s DRAGNET and UPN’s THE PARKERS.  

Brian currently appears on the small screen in the RECURRING role of
Detective Tavon Garris, on the FX Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning drama
series THE SHIELD (theshieldfans.com).

Since becoming a full time Los Angelino, Brian has also become very active in
the film world.  In 2001 he co-starred opposite Ms. Kim Fields,  in the
romantic comedy, ME & MRS. JONES (meandmrsjonesthemovie.com); as the lead in
the dramatic feature, REDEMPTION (redemptionmovie.com) and opposite veteran
actors Jeremy Sisto, Dina Meyer and Peter Stormare in the comedic feature,
THE MOVIE HERO (themovienut.com).  Next up for Brian, in 2003 is a
co-starring role in the Rian Johnson penned drama, BRICK.   

Further proving his entrepreneurial worth, Brian has recently dawned his
Producer’s hat.  He has two feature projects, HUSTLE and THE FOUL LINE in
development with Zide/Perry Films and slated for production during 2003. 
White will co-star in and co-produce both projects along with Zide/Perry
Films; and also co-authored HUSTLE’s screenplay.

Mr. White is a classically trained dancer, and holds two corporate offices. H
e is the CEO of R&B Entertainment, Inc. and the Co-Founder of Phunk
Phenomenon Urban Dance Theater (phunkphenomenon.com).  These two
organizations -- comprised of professional dancers and thespians, of more
than 11 different ethnic backgrounds -- offer both casting and choreography
services, perform a feature length stage production and provide peer leaders
and mentors to urban youth and teens.  Additionally, Brian is the VP of
Creative Development for Pacificap Entertainment, LLC.
