'The Heart Specialist' is a romantic comedy about the personal lives of two young physicians one of whom is also an amateur stand-up comedian. It takes place at a south florida hospital where a graduate of Harvard Medical School (STOMP THE YARD's Brian White) arrives for his internship. We soon learn he is a hardened womanizer, but when the Chief Resident Dr. Zachary (Wood Harris) discovers he has actually come to recapture his ex (Mya) who got away, Dr. Z bets his girlfriend (Zoe Saldana) that he can not only teach this player about medicine but about true love. Nephew Tommy also stars as the owner of the Comedy Club where Z does his stand-up, and who has his own relationship troubles. They eventually learn that when you want to trade your swagger for a sweetheart, you not only need an expert (played by Marla Gibbs), you need a specialist. Also starring: Jasmine Guy, Jenifer Lewis, Terrence J, Leon, Caleb Pinkett, Method Man & Ed Asner.
